Well Just now I attended a Indian Wedding.It is one of my ship crew getting married. It is a happy event for him. Finally he got married. haha!! Well Indian Wedding has a lengthy Wedding ritual ceremony.
- 7pm - the Wedding ritual starts with the priest alone at the stage..(thinking he is asking the Hindu Gods to give blessing for the wedding couple.
- 730pm - The Bridegroom and the Bride will go up to the stage to receive the blessing. Starting from the Bridegroom's family come up to give blessing. then Bride's family will come up next to give blessing.
- 8pm - The priest will continue the ritual once every families members give their blessing.
- 830pm-845pm - Friends go up to give blessing and Hong Bao!!!
- 9pm - go and have a buffet style dinner. yummy!!!
Well before I go for dinner, we are given some gifts from the ship crew's family member. It is a fan and a bag of yellow rices. Hmm... the fan is quite good and the yellow rices is for throwing onto the wedding couples. It is to give them blessing. WEll anyway this is my second time attending indian wedding. Still the feeling is still quite new to me.
