New Year eve!! Reflection

Well another 12hours, A new year will be arrived.. 2009. So this post is the last post I will post before the end of 2008 and the start of 2009. In the year 2008, a lot of things had been happening to me. Be it good and bad, it had greatly change my way of living my own life.

1. Facebook (bored and start using it)
2. My physical condition (not getting better)
3. make new friends that make a differences

Starting to play facebook, widener my social spaces to a new stage. Getting to know a lot of friends in the progress.. Well this year is also the year I encounter life and death the second time since childhood time. That changes my physical condition greatly.. Heard from Doctor that I cant work under the sun for pro-long period.. That make me very sad... I had to change my working condition due to this.. But I must stay happy to go through it.. Lucky I have friends care about me.. encourage me not to feel discourage because of the condition. Without them, I will not be the same Desmond again. Anyway the year 2008 is ending soon, I have been thinking about what is my new year resolution for 2009.

1. Study a degree for myself. (upgrade)
2. Finding a girlfriend(as usual)
3. Go for trip to Australia (Holiday)
4. Getting a car licence (die die much go take)
5. getting shape up for my body. (Take out the fats.)

Well that is my top five resolution I must get it done by the end of 2009. haha!! A bit ambition right? Well I must finished all of them this year.. haha!!

Christmas coming soon..

Well... Christmas is coming soon.. in about 2 days.. I am feeling the same as it is like a normal day. Maybe it is myself..or maybe it is christmas .. I don't know. Every year's christmas I always celebrate by myself or a couple of closed friends. I believe Christmas is the day where everyone received goodies from Santa, friends and family. This year's christmas is going to be different, as I was invited by friends to attend their christmas party.. I am happy as this is the first time from so many years since my poly life..I was invited to celebrate with them. Anyway I do hope this christmas will be a nice 1. hehee

I'm back from taiwan!!! Part 3

Well this part is the last part of I'm back from Taiwan. The 7days and 6night trip is going to be unforgetable shopping trip for me.. haha!! The last three days we go around the IT zones of Taipei to search for games, DVD and harddish.

Day 5:

Day 5, we go 龙山寺 ( Long Shan Si ) to pray.. Well it is also a tourist's attraction as it is very accurate in getting what you pray for. haha!!

This is the main entrance of Long Shan Si. It is well maintained in Taipei.. Lucky it is weekday.. it is not much people there.. I heard weekend at Long Shan Si... it will be like a traffic jam at there.. haha!!! After that we go shopping at 忠孝新生 ( Zhong Xiao Xin Sheng )
for Harddish, DVD and games. Man... Shopping shopping shopping... Go there it is the life haha!!

This is the night life at Taipei.. Very colourful if you ask me.. haha!! Well I envy the Taiwan teens ... everywhere there are things to see and buy... better than Singapore. Anyway after that we go Modern Toilet Restaurant to eat the toilet dishes..

This is the theme restaurant that sell toilet dishes.. Like what the motto say challenge the limit.. We order several dishes.. Below is the look of the dishes...

Well it is ice-cream shit in the bowel and the Ice lemon urine in the urine bowel. haha!! Very unqiue... but I quite like the way they display. we have a good dinner there. You cant find this in Singapore..heee Who will dare to eat them..

Day 6 and Day 7:

Day 6 we decided to try something different for breakfast.. so we go out around hotel and search for Taipei's morning breakfast. Unlike in Singapore, I will eat roti pata or wanton mee for breakfast... now we are in Taipei, we should test their breakfast there.. so we go into 牛扎面店, a small restaurant that sells beef and chicken noodle.

This is the genki Chicken noodle. It is a herb soup with handmade noodle and chicken on it. Taste not bad... quite like it.. That why I took a picture on it.. haha!! after that we go to the 台北地下街（Taipei underground street）to shop. haha!! Again we go shop.. Well the Taipei underground street is quite long... Inside got a number of shops selling game console and games... not forgetting it also selling clothes and foodstuffs..

What he hold is the game console that I think Singapore doesnt sell anymore... Yes!! Dreamcast.. the game console that some of the great titles are being made and only can be played with this console. haha!!I still remember I am trying to save a lot of money just to buy this console.. but by the time I got the money... I cant find this console as it is no longer selling in Singapore.

Well at night we decide to try out the club in Taipei.. We go to Luxy to check out whether it is better than Singapore Clubbing industry.Well it is not much different from Singapore. The only different is the gals will really dressed like what japanese gals wore.. HOT!!! My eyes are eating ice cream ... heehee.. Luxy is playing trance songs that night.. which I think not much fun there.. so we decided to go Lava.. another club. When we got there, we saw MC Hot Dog (Favorite DJ cum singer) performing there. We go in and watch a live performance there. haha!!! But I must say Lava's bar attendant is good in making cocktail.. I like their drinks.. we danced and drank till 2am before we called it a night. It is a great time not to be miss.

Day 7:

Day 7 is the day we had to miss Taipei.. Well I missed their food... their pretty gals.. hhaahaI guess I will come back to Taipei again for sightseeing.. maybe I will go Taizhong too next time..

I'm back from taiwan!!! Part 2

Well I am carry on the part 2 of the taiwan trip..

Day 3:

Day 3 we go for a city tour around taipei. First stop is 中正纪念堂 (Zhong Zheng Ji Nian Tang). It is the place where Taiwan president build a building just for remembering Jiang Zhong Zheng. Well we did took some photo there.. A group photo taken at there.. Good photo taking skill by the tour guide.

After that, we go and visit 邵族 (Shao Zu).. a small tribe in taipei.. Well they sell some facial stuffs to the tourists.. I didnt buy.. not much use for me. I took a picture with the princess of Shao Zu.. hehee.. Then we go to the geo-rock park to take some pictures on the rocks forming on the coast of taiwan.. From there, I get to see some taiwanese fishing vessel, thinking the taiwaneses go out for fishing with that big size of fishing vessel. Took a picture with the "Queen Head Rock". After that, we go 忠烈祠 (Zhong Lie Ci) to see how and when the Guard of Honour change shift. It is very fun and education. Well we go to 士林夜市 (Shi Lin Ye Shi). A place where good foods are found..

This is one of the stalls selling my favorite food ... BBQ chicken Skins!!! Yummy ... After that, we go shopping trip on shopping street at Shi Lin.. searching cheap stuffs to buy.. till 11pm.. then we took the MRT back to Xi Men Ding.. to our hotel to rest.. haha!!

Day 4:

Day 4 we go to 国父纪念馆。。。 at there I met Sun Zhong Shan.. in steel. Took a photo with him..

Well isnt he big size.. haha!! Well after that we watched the sentries changing shift... performing the changing shift show.

Airforce sentries this time... haha!! look like the blur pictures now.. You can see the airforce sentries are in blue colour taking over sentries duty. haha!!!

After that, we go for Taiwan Discovery Centre... thinking must be same like Singapore Discovery Centre... but inside got a lot of things and stuffs that tell us how taiwan become the nation now... Good for knowledge.. heehee

After that, at night we go for baked rice resturant to eat the taiwan baked rice. It is so nice I myself took a photo of it .. haha!!! After that we go starbuck to have a late night coffee... before we turn up for a night in our hotel at 2320H..

I'm back from taiwan!!! Part 1

Hi... I'm back from taiwan.. Taiwan trip is very fun... although I think I am going for shopping trip than just a overseas trip..haha!! Anyway going taiwan with another 2 of my friends, I brought NT$21000 to taiwan.. but when I come back, I guess I only left with NT$1169. lol.. I did spent a lot in taiwan.. Well below is our trip outline... how we spend our 7days and 6nights at taipei:

Day 1:

Day 1 is the day we will be flying to taiwan on Cathay Pacific at 3.15pm. But first, we will be flying to hong kong first then we transit to taiwan from there. We reached taiwan around 230pm+.... reached our hotel at around 4pm+. Then we go find some resturant at 西门丁（Xi Men Ding）to eat. After that we go window shopping aroun Xi Men Ding till 1030pm before we go back to hotel to rest.

Day 2:

We go visit 台湾大学 (Taiwan University).. Well basically just to see how big is the university... plus whether can see 台妹 (Tai Mei). lol!! In the end, we only found nerds in the University.. haiz!!! After that, I go and search for Jay Chou's Shop at 忠孝敦化 (Zhong Xiao Dun Hua)..

Along the way searching for Jay Chou, I met this guy, Look Lu, a celebrity in jewellery.. It is my honour to take picture with him. Well he is a nice guy... giving us good points on where got good places to eat and shop.. haha!! After that, we continue our search for Jay Chou's shop.

Finally I found his shop...This is his shop, PHANTAC. Inside selling jay Chou's personal stuffs... mostly all are basketball shoes... He really like basketball. But the things he sells are damn expensive!! Out of my budget.. .haha!! Then I took a picture of his shop and we go for another place for sightseeing...We reached 五分埔 in the late afternoon... where I spend NT$1600 on my brown jacket... A quite nice jacket, well mix and match... good for me. After that, it is around 9pm... we go for a starbuck coffee before we go back to hotel to rest around 11pm..

Taiwan trip Preflight feeling!!!

Well in another 17 hours, I will be leaving singapore and fly to taiwan and visit it. This will be my first time going out with friends to enjoy vacation. Everytime, I always go with family... this time I want to try something different... going with friends... see how it works. Going Taiwan is one of my target in my Asia tour. I got some places I wish to go.. Well, I also want to try use this time to forget about stress, unhappy stuffs, and someone I like before..

myself feeling jaded..

Today I am feeling jaded... People says "Desmond you looked good when you are tanned.." Well I personally think it is just natural when my skin looked tanned.. Because in the past, I get dark skin easily... Must be because of my family's DNA, my dad and brother have dark skins too. I found out I am not feeling very well.. My physical condition is not getting better, maybe I am thinking too much.. but I just found out that I am getting more and more tired... I sweated a lot even though I only do some works.. I am hardly bear the heats under the sun.... So bottom line, I'm becoming a "Snow Man". haiz!!

Anime Festival!!

Today I go to Suntec with friends for the Anime Festival Asia 2008. look like it is one of the biggest cosplay display in singapore. Well initially I thought it is free, but seeing the display board ... $5 for the entry.. I wonder what it will have in the exhibition.

Look at the display, I didnt know singaporean can draw manga well. hmm... anyway it is draw quite well and sexy. haha!!!

feeling

Recently, I found out I am very not focus on doing my works. I always heard my friends who had girlfriends and wives saying this stuffs like "they cant focus ön their work and their mind will always wonder around..." I will always tell them this is because they are thinking about their other partners. Now that feeling is happening to me..... Is that meaning I am thinking of someone? I am listening "给我一首歌的时间" at cityhall mrt at 12pm. The feeling is rushing to me... Damn... I really feeling very funny. I like this feeling and at the same time I hate the feeling. Haiz!!

Sat Outing..

Yesterday is one of the longest outing I have this month. Afternoon, I go meet with my internet friends to watch movies,madagascar2. It is an comedy anime.. continue from the madagascar but this time they found that they are at africa, the wild wild land of wild life... Oooo got a lot of jokes in the movie. I like Alex the lion ( ben stiller's voice ), the only lion that dance. haha!!! Well although this anime movie is mostly for the kids to see... but it is also suitable for young adults to see too. Not so bad movie..

After the movie, I go and meet another group, POC friends... This is the event I try to organise for the first time ever since the POC farewell dinner. It is a hotpot session, but this is quite success... although I dun get 80% of attendances, but I am grateful people gives me "faces" to attend it. The food there are good.. well only the pricing is a bit of expensive..The drinks is not included in the buffet. Well actually the price for the buffet, it is $24.80. It included a hotpot for you to cook your raw foods, 40 dishes of cooked food for you to taste while waiting for your raw foods to be cooked and lastly the desert, chcoclate fondue for you to taste. Oooo that is really good.. we are full yesterday after eating the hotpot. haha!! maybe next time should try again.

jaded

It had been a week since I last wrote blog entry. I was very busy on my works.. Everyday working working, nv have time for rest... till friday I then got time to catch my breathes.. Phew... everytime I get home, the sky is very dark. Recently I found out from my co-workers that I lost my usual self... I am not as cheerful as I am like before.. instead of seeing my happy face, they found out I looked tired, shag, or not enough sleep face.. I didn't noticed that, I think I am really tired... not enough sleep, packed with stresses and workload.. I need to get out from that place from for a while..

Well I need a VACATION!!!!!

TAIWAN trip is a trip I am looking forward to. I will "spare no one that stand in my way" to go taiwan. haha!!!

Recently, I think about this topic.. Single... How people fall in love? In real life, is there really got such event "Love at one sight" happen.. I dun know..
In singapore, Most Singaporean are getting late and later to get married...or even worse.. they cant find anyone to marry. They are several reasons to it... Nowadays singapore girl's standard
for their another partner are getting higher, Works plus no time to date, other countries rival (Guys) and not communcating well with girls.. That will lead to low marriages in Singapore. Well, that why now singapore need the match-making company.. THey get to match-making you with another one... for those which do not have time for dating.. Well.. match-makers can only introduce the singles to each other... whether they click is another thing, right? Haizz... Stay single loh.. can enjoy more. ;p

Sam's and grandma's birthday

today is my friend, Sam's birthday and at the same time my grandma's birthday.. Oooo A busy day.. Actually sam's birthday is yesterday, but sam invite us to a mini BBQ session with him.. Well this is his first time organise BBQ.. so a bit of hip hup along the way.. but overall it has a nice ending... I helped out in cooking haha!! lucky my cooking is ok.. too bad the chicken wings are not well cooked.. I think my best work is the bacon... I get good remark for that. hahaha!!

After his BBQ session, I had to rush down to china town point to meet my family for my grandma's birthday... phew.. lucky I was fast and reached to the resturant on time. But I have to deal with 9 dishes... I was like having a "OMG" sign in my head... how am I going to finish the dishes.. but still I have to eat a lot.. anyway the dishes are good. Well in the end, I did finish the 9 dishes with the helps of other.. haha!! What a feast!!

Love at a problem...

Just now I just watched New York version of My Sassy Girl. It is the remade of the korea version of My Sassy Girl. but I was disappointed as this version is not as good as the korea version of My Sassy Girl. It is not sassy enough in this version, but more like love story. I watched 3 version of (Korea, Japan and New York) and I found out only the orginal version meaning the Korea version is the best 1... It is the movie that I am moved by the Gyeon-woo (Cha Tae-Hyun), and the Girl (Jun Ji-hyun) acting.. although the movie is 7years ago but I still like the movie story. Cha Tae Hyun make the main character so real... that I thought in this world there is some guy who will do stupid things for his girlfriend. Actually during the 7 years, I was thinking will I be like Cha Tae Hyun met Jun Ji Hyun (the sassy girl). hahah!! I guess I am very stupid or crazy. Well the thought is still in my mind.

Cycling again.

Today I remember today is sunday... nothing much. so I go out for a cycle around sembawang. Hmm.. took the picture of a soccer match at a primary school.. Orange Vs Black.. it is quite interesting so I stay there to watch. But too bad both team unable to score the goals till the end of the game.. After the game I go cycle other places and took this picture below.

Sembawang is getting crowded... at last I am seeing it to be becoming like Ang Mo Kio..Well still it will take some time to be like Ang Mo Kio. hehee Ganbatten Sembawang!!!

Saturday movie outing.

Yesterday, is another movie outing.. I met friends and go watch 20th Century Boy. A manga convert to movie.

It is a sci-friction movie. Well it is quite a lengthy as there are a lot of dialog scenes less action. It is more on thriller than action movie. I myself felt very curious about the movie and who is the "Friend" real face... It will be a 3 part stories.. which means it is a trilogy movie. I am very curious about the movie. I hope to see the part 2 and part 3.

life is fragile

Life is not only just about you, but around you also.. anything happen to you ... it will have chain effects to other.People who like you will cry for you, worry for you... then the feeling will hit back to you too. I saw my friend lyingon the hospital bed.. i felt sad to see him lying on the bed... with injuries... Then I start to think back the day that I faint after the boat training 2. I was lying on the bed for 5 days... plus 2 days in ICU... There are some friends come and visit me.. I had no face to look at them... i dun want them to see how fragile I am... but it is a way of courage to show people how weak you can be... not everyone is superman, so there bound to be someone to be fragile.. it can be you or me or him.. so life is very fragile.

Tickets to Taiwan

Today is the day, I go to chinatown point with friends to search for free and easy package to taiwan on Dec. Going to taiwan is always my dream as at taiwan there got a lot of places to visit. Well now booking tickets to taiwan is a bit late as it is nearer to dec... which is school hoildays... anyway we managed get a reservation for 3 seats at a price of $1088 for 7 days. Actually want to book today but didnt do it as one of my friends forget to bring passport so we have to book by tml. Well I hope tml we will book the tickets to taiwan by tml...;)

busy

Everyday busy like there is no tml… Works are piling as forever… there will be a lot of work on workplace. But time flies very fast.. when I check out the timing, it is 1800H… haiz… whole day gone… see.. I am so busy..

KTV session with Primary school friends

Today is another outing organised by Alan. haha!! I remember the last time huiyi and I always organise outing but now alan is keen to organise outing. This time the outing is at Kbox... we show our true voice to everyone... through mic. heehee. People turn out is quite good. Well huiyi is late today ... that y she is not in the picture. This is the first time I go KTV session with them. We get to see them sing to their heart. I even video them singing in the progress. haha!! But they are quite good in singing. Alan likes to give surprise to us..by singing in a funny way.

Outing with friends at JTL

Today is wenhao's first time going PUB.. haha!! So I bring him and my friend Sam to Jiu Tan Ling (酒谭林) for drinking session. haha!!! He is not bad mah... can hold his beer.. He drank 1 bottle and a half hoegarden and 2 bottle of Ashasi.

See... We are having a good time at JTL. Drinking Hoegarden. haha!!! Look at the photo, I look dark skin guy, wenhao red skin guy and Sam white skin guy. haha!!!

Intense week (Another hit)

Friday 3 October 2008 Sunny day.

I woke up at 932am. This is the off day I am given for Hari Raya duty. This whole week I was working non stop... till now then can rest. For those who think they work more than me, I can only say I am just lucky to have this off day. Everyday work till very late than go home.. Yesterday I felt dizzy, I thought I was getting Heat Exhaustion again. I was so afraid. I remember the last time I got Heat Exhaustion, I almost on the verge of dying. Well That is what the doctor told me when I was awake after my fever was lower. I was keeping my temperature low just to prevent another Heat Exhaustion. Haiz... Why I got this physical condition... did I do anything wrong to get this ..why god must give me this condition.. Now because of this condition, I cant even go play soccer for prolong period.

I must continue to take care of myself. That all.

Movie outing.

Well today I met Weijie,Sam and Wenhao for a movie outing. We decided to go The Cathay to watch . Since we haven't eaten so we go to Aston in The Cathay to eat. Well I know that Katong got their main branch which you get to queue up just to find seats to eat. The Aston here also the same thing... a lot of people come to eat, luckly we got seats to eat. haha!!

This is theWeijie's dish, Prime Ribeye (Beef steak) with coleslaw and mashed potato. It looks very tasty.. yum yum!! But too bad it is beef, I am buddhist, cant eat. haiz!!!! Well I eat Pork Chops with french fries and baked potato, just a normal dish. It is also very tasty, but the dish is quite small for me. haha!! I am a big eater. ;)

Wow... see the cost... all together is only $39.40. Hmmm quite cheap..only the plain water cost $0.30, quite exp... other than that, it is ok. The foods are just nice as the Katong's main branch. After eating, we talk about some old stuffs and pass time... till the time to watch the movie. Man... I should take a group photo ...ahaha maybe next time.

When we reached there, Weijie and Sam said that they go buy some things and will come back... so they depart shortly... left me and Wenhao at a counter. I saw the counter don't have people and ask wenhao stand at the counter with 2 laptop on the counter posing as a salesman selling laptop. Haiz... Wenhao just stand there and smile while I took the photo. haha..

After that, I told Wenhao why he didn't act as salesman as I told him.. he just smile . I scratch my head and told him to take a picture of me trying to selling the laptops. Snap!..

Well after waiting for Weijie and Sam, we go into the cinema to watch the movie. is very long-winded movie... The director will give at least 10s snapshort on the characters' face if they have a face to face scene. haha!!I was like yawning... thinking I am going to sleep.. Luckly there are some actions and humor scenes that keep me awake.. or else I will surely go into sleep mode. heeehee.

After the movie, we go for supper before we go home. Along the way we saw this shop.. hmm.. ... thinking it must be a small comic cafe but we asked for the price and was a bit surprise of the pricing... $5.00/hr. Hmm.. Free drink, see comic, massage chair,PS3 gaming... hmm.. think a bit exp.. but didn't go inside to try out. Maybe next time I go in to try the facilities.

Womens' and mens' point of view!!

What is the difference between the woman and man? Is it about hair or personality? The answer is no. It is . Women got a lot of point of view which man think differently.

How did man finds a partner? Most of them looks into pretty looks, figure, status, and family. Most of them will looks in pretty looks because having a pretty girlfriend give them a better "face" infront their friends. They will earn more respects from them. Another is figure... most men go for lust... good figure capture their attention. Another 1 is Status, if your girlfriend's education is better than you, they will have a so-called gap on communication... then came the quarrels and some small issues.. The last thing most men will consider is family. If their girlfriend got a problem family, the men will just run away from them. This is what I feel.

How did woman finds a partner? Most of them will go for caring, good sense of humour and status? Women think a little on requirement of finding their partner. They will think "if that man care about me and love me, it will be enough." But nowadays women go for rich guys.. rich means stability in career, can also means financial stability. Must hold a job that can secure their lifetime. Women go for men with good sense of humour, because they hope their boyfriends can make them laugh.

This is the difference of womens' and mens' point of view.

I nv watch America Idol for a long time. But I get this song "Always be my baby" for my friend, I quite like it. I search for this song in the net, then I found out Mariah Carey is the one who sing it. It is David Cook choose the song to sing in the America Idol. It is David Cook that sings better than Mariah Carey.

Yesterday night 中秋节

Yesterday is the 中秋节. My friends and I go to the void deck to try out the Sparkling Firework. Hmm.. It had been 10yrs since I last touch the firework. I nv know I will touching that again. I still remember that is the first time I stay out from home for very late..

These are the 2 friends that they spend their first 中秋节 in singapore. Well, I am glad I was asked to join them in the celebration. haha!! these are good friends... Although I feeling down that day... I dun know why..but when I was with friends, I will feel happy. THat is a good feeling. Maybe I am lonely or something... maybe. But yesterday I have a great time playing the Sparkling Fireworks..It is a recap of old times of playing fireworks.

Bugis walkabout

Today is the Mid-Autumn Day. My family goes Bugis 四马路 to do some praying... hope to pray for good fortune. Walking through the bugis street, I found out it is very crowded as usual. Anyway, I got a bad interpretation. haiz... I guess I dun have the luck. I took some pic along the way..

I take some editing... trying to make it reality.. but it is not well done. Nvm.. I will do it better next time.

BUSY!!!

Wow... it is Saturday now... I cant believe it. It had been six days since my last update on the blog.. Quite busy with works.. I wish I can go rest at home... for a long time. But it is impossible as they need manpower. Haiz!!! Well yesterday I had a temporary rest. I go to Zouk with some ship crews. We are having fun there ... but I guess I drank a lot more... so I was over high... Luckly I can go home by myself. But I KO (sleep) till this morning 8am... haha!! Well today I guess I will stay at home and watch some drama. Anyway I listen to a korea song called 如果 by 金泰妍. It is quite good and it is the lyrics that move my heart.

this is me ... in yr 2004 at Nanyang Poly. It is the nerd face of me, quite a neighbour boy look if anyone ask me. Over the four years I encounter happy events, sad events, shock events.. etc.. trained me that in the world I need to survive does not need only money but also I need courage,willpower and Knowledge. Without these four things, you may not be able to survive long.
